CERT TEFL (168-hours), OFQUAL Level 5 (Training Qualifications UK)

This is a basic certification course for English language teachers, offering them an alternative to CELTA. This course is completed “part-time” over a period of 8 weeks and six hours of observed teaching practice (mandatory). The observation can be done by our approved trainers/examiners in your work place or at our center. Our candidates love the flexibility this course offers.

CERTIFICATE IN TEACHING YOUNG LEARNERS (25-hours- Learning Resource Network)

This specialist qualification is an excellent addition to any teaching diploma or Cert TEFL or CELTA qualification. The course is completed over a weekend with two weeks allotted for assignment submission

ELTAD-MA EDUCATION (TESOL/EARLY YEARS/LEADERSHIP) with University of Derby, UK

In 2018, MEET launched its first cohort of 10 candidates who completed a progression route program with a full-time degree component with the University of Derby, UK.

In partnership with LRN UK &, Master English Education & Training, GCC is proud to host the MA in Education with a blended learning option. Over the years, MEET conducted extensive research on educator’s needs in the Middle East and found the need for an international accredited Master’s degree program. After working internationally with different institutions, MEET and LRN UK were able to develop the course and partner with University of Derby, UK to offer MA in Education for language teaching professionals in the Gulf region, for TESOL, Early Years and Leadership.

The face-to-face sessions in Saudi Arabia will be conducted in Jeddah & Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, at the end of each month for two days covering the mandatory Guided Learning Hours (GLH), based on the UK program specification.

After the successful completion of ELTAD, the candidate will progress to University of Derby MA in Education program (April-June cohort). Classes will be on Friday and Saturday, weekend of each month, full day from 8:30 AM to 5 PM. This is to facilitate the attendance from candidates who live outside the respective cities mentioned.

A program orientation of one hour will be scheduled prior to the start of the course in which the candidates will be given course materials, online access to library, spell-grammar-plagiarism checker, and the orientation booklet. The booklet includes the assignments, deadlines and a tentative timeline for all the tasks.

 

REGISTERED APPLICANTS: If you are working, your twenty hours of classroom observation will be conducted by our approved external examiner at your work place. Please ensure you have the relevant permissions secured for the external examiner to assess and complete the observations for Module 2. If you do not have access to the teaching sessions, please inform us at the earliest so we may proceed with the arrangements. 

After your acceptance, you will be given a conditional offer letter from the UK institution followed by the schedule/time-table for the program. After the successful completion of ELTAD, an unconditional offer letter is issued by the institution.

Candidates should demonstrate competency in the course (s) enrolled. Assessments are usually done on-spot or take-home with a 48-hour deadline.
